Dear Jellybean,

We went for an ultrasound at the Ottawa Hospital today - the first one for this pregnancy! There was no drama this time with an excessively full bladder and a particularly cranky Mommy - not like with your big brother Caleb! Looks like I drank just enough water, hooray!

We got to see your two little hands, your two little feet, your head, your body. We got to see you squirming around, as well as snoozing away while the technician poked at you to attempt to get you to turn a different way.

Your little heart was beating strongly - 157 beats per minute!

You look absolutely perfect.

Can't wait to meet you!

Dear Jellybean,

I can't wait for you to meet the crazy old woman who works at the doctor's office. She's scary. Today I had to bribe her with donuts so she would be pleasant enough for a two minute span to help me process all the paperwork and appointments for our prenatal hoopla. Donuts, Jellybean, are the way to any fat old woman's heart.

For about two minutes.

Dear Jellybean,

We bought a new crib this weekend! One with a rail that drops, because with my growing belly, I won't be able to drop your big brother Caleb into the crib we already have without a little help! It feels all too real now that you are coming to join us soon.
